The Matador Battalion recently had two of the biggest events occur within not only the same month, but the same week! The battalion faced a real-life situation during the First-Aid Triage, where they were tasked with saving the battalion staff after a brutal bus crash on the way to Coachella. Thanks to the cadets, our staff managed to live to see another day.

On Saturday, the Mount Miguel JROTC held their biennial Military Ball. This year's military ball featured key-speakers Theresa Tran, a former cadet and battalion commander of the Mount Miguel JROTC, and the JROTC-nominated teacher of the year, Mr. Sean Jones. Also, congratulations to the elected court for the 2015 Military Ball! The court is as follows:

We met with great success as the Unarmed Four-man won 2nd place, the Armed Four-man won 2nd place, the Unarmed Block won 3rd place Exhibition, and Unarmed as a whole won 4th place. Great job, drill teams! The Mount Miguel JROTC Color Guard presented the colors at the Winter Sports Assembly at Mount Miguel High School under the command of Cadet Staff Sergeant Onrei Ladao. The unarmed fourman also performed for the school assembly under the command of Cadet Sergeant Major Marie Cor Cruz.
