This Saturday, your Battalion Staff got together to make the year's first Battalion Update - all about our next big event, Battalion Picnic! Check it out and get excited! Last Friday night, cadets volunteered to guard the football stadium fences during the varsity game. We also presented the colors as always, and had cadets working hard for chain-and-down! The next morning, cadets showed up once again to beautify the bleachers & field. Great job, Matadors!
This week, cadets took diagnostic tests for the Cadet Challenge, with exercises including the shuttle run, curl-up, V-sit reach, flex arm hang/pull-up, and the half-mile. Let's get fit, Battalion! This Friday, cadets worked at the first home football game as Gate Guard and Chain-and-down volunteers. The next morning, cadets tidied up the bleachers and field. Way to go, Matadors! The past two weeks have been full of learning the foundations of JROTC - acronyms, values, ranks, military courtesy, saluting, chain of command, and stationary movements. As always, LET 2s and above taught the stations, while LET 1s traveled through the "Round Robin" learning all about each Military Stakes subject. These subjects are crucial to understand for the promotion tests and inspections, so keep studying, cadets!!! |
